The StratoSphere is digital. The Sphere coordinates the big picture approach to multimedia by integrating media and allowing cross-platform exchange. For example: Photoshop files, Truetype fonts, Kodak Photo CD's and Audio CD's import direct into the digital environment. Digital video files (motion or still frame) can be output to disk and videotape. You can make multiple masters or various versions of a program; without loss of quality. Every time you output to tape, your creating another master.
The StratoSphere is a disk based system with two real-time streams of video; with real-time effects creation, keying, and color correction. There is an independent third channel for titling and graphics. Its features include superior picture quality, quick access, real-time infinite duration video effects; including wipes, fades, dissolves and picture manipulation; as well as full motion alpha keys for both video channels.
There is a real-time 3-D DVE and the non-destructive compositing feature, up to 50 elements with full key signal integrity; jog through a composited sequence frame by frame and make changes instantaneously.
Of course, a large music and effects library is available.
